  I engaged Steve to paint the exterior of a weather board house and a garage that was in poor condition. He was very helpful in re-arranging his schedule to fit in my request that the job be done as quickly as possible. He and his team were always helpful and polite. He was very patient with my uncertainty around colour schemes and helped me come to a decision I was happy with. I was impressed that Steve kept me involved in the process, was responsive to feedback and walked me through his work at the completion of the job to ensure that I were happy with it. I am happy to recommend him to others

  On the 9th May, 2016 I contacted Steve Thorpe, on the recommendation of Oneflare, to do some painting in my home. Steve quoted on the job and commenced on the 11th May. I was very impressed with how quickly the job was being completed and on the second day I came home from work at lunch time to pay the money owing. Steve advised that he goes around each room and checks to ensure everything is completed before finishing up. On first glance the painting looks wonderful, but when you take a closer look the work is not up to scratch. When I came home that evening Steve and the workers had gone, I went around the rooms and found the following: Ceiling in 3rd bedroom not completed and cutting around the light shade not done at all, window sills not done. Paint on the polished floor around skirting boards; paint on carpet and mat; painting not finished in the kitchen, architraves only half done, lampshade in main bedroom broken, pain on the deck outside, paint on glass window above the door. It seems that as soon as Steve was paid and I left to return to work, they packed up and left. I have tried numerous times to contact Steve and the last conversation I had with him (3 weeks ago), he said he would be in touch. I am still waiting. Oneflare have been wonderful and also tried to make contact with him. I will not be recommending Thorpe's Home and Garden Service to anyone.

  FIXED QOUTE. The reason i do fixed qoutes is due to i cant see why my clients should be charged an hourly rate if im not working to my full potential i cant see that as being fair to you
