Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
If you're shopping on quality not price, then call me. If you're shopping on price only, I have another business that caters for the budget market, so call me either way and I'll get you sorted.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
10 years industry experience. However, unlike most other lawn mowers, I am also a home owner, property investor (multiple), real estate agent, IT Professional, and much more. Cut My Grass .com.au is my hobby business I do to keep fit, and because I love being outdoors and doing great work!
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
I specialise in small-medium sized residential properties. My attention to detail and skill with a whippersnapper, and standards of completion are what set me apart from others.
What makes your pricing competitive?
Value for money
How do you normally charge for your service?
I have a service catalogue that contains pricing for my standard services/packages. I also do non-standard work, varied and depending on my availability. I can show you examples of any work/service I am offering, and would expect nothing less myself as a client to see proof of ability before engaging a contractor. Just ask to see what I can do for you.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
Not at this time.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
For standard work off my service catalogue, not much. For non-standard work I will have to quote in person anyway so it makes little difference.
What do you like most about your job?
Transforming nothing into something, and then seeing the look of amazement from my client.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I used to spend a lot of time in the gym, and I thought to myself how can I get paid to work out, and this was the answer. Physical work is just like doing cardio in the gym.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
If I were the customer, I would ask to see examples of previous work that is similar/same of what I'd be engaging them to do. I don't care how flashy their sales & marketing pitch is - show me what you have done, so I know what you can do, because the end result is all I care about.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
How much is my hourly rate, to which I reply I prefer to charge per job, so you know exactly how much it is going to cost you.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
I have been around for a long time, try to only take on jobs I want to do so I enjoy doing them, no criminal record.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I did a small landscape job in Springfield, the customer had their house re-valued to realise an increase of $50k. Ask how I could add value to YOUR property!
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
Yes and Yes.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
Clean up your yard - put the kids toys away, keep the work area free from unnecessary interferences, park your car away from where it could get damaged, etc.
